4 · Fund the deposit wallet

Send a small amount of USDC.e to the deposit wallet address — not the signing EOA. Once the contract is deployed, the bot's fuel manager wraps that USDC.e into the tradable token (pUSD) on its own and starts trading.

  • Token: USDC.e — 0x2791Bca1f2de4661ED88A30C99A7a9449Aa84174 on Polygon. This is not native USDC; native USDC won't wrap.
  • Destination: the deposit wallet address (the derived 0x… from wallet setup, not the signing key's own address).
  • Amount: enough to cover the strategy's stake plus headroom. The fuel manager keeps a small pUSD float and tops it up from USDC.e as needed.

Fund the wallet, not the key

The signing EOA and the deposit wallet are two different addresses. USDC.e sent to the EOA is recoverable (you hold the key) but the bot can't trade with it until it's moved. Always send to the deposit wallet.

Once funded and deployed, the bot's log shows the wrap:

[bot-fuel] wrapped USDC.e → pUSD
