Fire a call

A call is you taking a side on a real market at your hive's venue. To fire one you set:

  • the market — a YES/NO market at the hive's venue (Polymarket or Kalshi)
  • your side — YES or NO
  • your conviction — an integer from 1% to 100%
  • your own stake — you trade alongside your members ("skin in the game"), placed in your own venue account

What happens when you fire

The call fans out to every member with an active allocation. Each member's stake is their per-call budget × your conviction%, capped at their remaining allocation and their tier's per-call cap. Everyone — you included — gets the same price; if total demand exceeds the market's liquidity, each size is scaled down proportionally so the fill stays fair.

Each order executes at the venue, in that member's own account. On a Polymarket hive, orders go from each member's deposit wallet through Polymarket's CLOB. On a Kalshi hive, HiveTrade signs an immediate-or-cancel order for whole contracts with each member's own trade-only key and places it in their Kalshi account — only for members who have accepted the hive's execution consent.

Resolving

When the market's outcome is known, resolve it (YES / NO / cancelled). Markets the venue resolves itself are settled the same way automatically: on Polymarket a HiveTrade watcher redeems each winning position on-chain, and on Kalshi the exchange credits winning contracts to each member's cash. Wins pay out to each member's allocation, losses come from the stake already placed, and a cancelled market refunds the stake. Your members' P&L updates automatically.

You trade with them, not off them

Firing a call places your own stake too. Members copy a position you actually hold — and you earn from subscriptions, not from their outcomes.
