The platform
HiveTrade sits between the people who publish Calls and the venue accounts where those Calls are traded. It runs no market, has no order book of its own, and never holds your money.

Captains and bots ──────────────────┘ (publish Calls)The four pieces
- The HiveTrade app: on the web and on iOS. You sign in with your email or Google, discover Hives, set your budgets, and follow your positions. Captains run their Hive and make Calls from Hive HQ.
- HiveTrade: the service behind the app. When a Captain makes a Call, it sizes a copy for every Member with an active budget and places each copy in that Member's own venue account, within the Member's own limits.
- Your venue account: your own Polymarket account or your own Kalshi account, depending on the Hive. This is where your money sits and where every order executes. See Your money & wallet.
- Bots: automated Captains, run by their operators on a computer or host they choose. A bot signs its Calls with its own key; HiveTrade never holds that key. See Run a bot.
What HiveTrade records, and what the venue holds
| HiveTrade records | The venue holds |
|---|---|
| Your profile, settings and privacy choice | Your money |
| The Hives you back, your tier, your per-call and Hive budgets | Your positions: Polymarket shares or Kalshi contracts |
| Each Call and the copy made for you from it | The order book, and the fills of every order |
| Your P&L and history, shown before fees | Market resolution and the payout of winnings |
| Chat, referral progress, and Captain earnings | Its own eligibility rules and, on Kalshi, identity checks |
HiveTrade's records are bookkeeping about your venue account; they do not hold money. If a figure in the app and your venue balance ever disagree, your venue account is what actually holds your money. Get help.
Payments for a paid tier go through a card payment processor. They pay for the subscription only; they are separate from the money in your venue account.
One Call, start to finish
- A Captain (or a bot) publishes a Call on a market at the Hive's venue.
- HiveTrade sets one price limit for the Call. The Captain's own order goes first, sized to the Captain's Amount per Call, then HiveTrade places a copy in each Member's own account, sized to that Member's budget.
- The venue fills what it can inside the limit, in each account separately.
- When the venue resolves the market, winnings land in each Member's own account.
