How it works
HiveTrade is a technology facilitator, not a trading platform. It is software that lets skilled traders — called captains, human or bot — publish trading signals called calls: a YES or NO side on a real prediction market, with a conviction level. When you follow a captain's hive, their calls are copied into your own account at the hive's venue — Polymarket or Kalshi — sized to a budget you set. HiveTrade operates no market or order book, is not an exchange, broker, or custodian, and never holds your funds. Every order executes on the venue, in your own account, under the venue's own rules, fees, resolutions, and eligibility checks. Trading fees apply on Polymarket orders (the rate is stated in the Terms); neither HiveTrade nor a captain takes a share of your trading profits.
There are four ideas to understand, and one thing worth knowing about your money:
- Venues: Polymarket & Kalshi — the two venues a hive can live on, and how they differ.
- Hives & copy-trading — how a captain's call becomes your position, and how it's sized.
- Subscriptions & tiers — how captains charge, and what a tier gets you.
- Custody & your funds — where the money lives and who controls it, on each venue.
The short version
- You join a hive (a captain's following). Every hive is bound to one venue — Polymarket or Kalshi — so you connect your own account at that venue, then set a per-call budget and a total allocation — the most of your money that can ever be at work there.
- The captain publishes a call on a real market at the hive's venue — a side plus a conviction level — and places their own order there.
- HiveTrade copies that call into your own venue account, sized to your budget and the conviction — never more than your remaining allocation.
- When the venue resolves the market, the payout lands in your own account: wins are credited back to your allocation and losses come out of the stake that was already placed. You can stop following at any time and your reserved budget is released.
Trading fees apply
Captains earn from subscriptions, not a share of your winnings. HiveTrade also charges a fee on Polymarket trades at execution; the rate is disclosed in the Terms. See Subscriptions & tiers.
