Withdrawing

This guide covers Polymarket and Kalshi withdrawals. Your money stays in your own account at the exchange your Hive trades on, so how you withdraw depends on the exchange. HiveTrade never holds your money; see Your money & wallet.

Polymarket Hives

Withdrawals are made on the HiveTrade website. The iOS app does not offer them.

  1. Sign in on the web and go to Portfolio → Budgets, then click Withdraw on the Polymarket account card. If the page shows another exchange, switch to Polymarket first. If Polymarket is your only exchange, you can also tap your balance in the top bar on a phone and choose Withdraw.
  2. If we ask you to Confirm it's you, sign in again (see below).
  3. Enter the amount to withdraw. The form shows how much is available and how much is reserved; Max fills in the available amount. Any amount above zero, up to the available amount, can be withdrawn.
  4. Enter the Destination address (Polygon): a Polygon wallet you control or a crypto exchange's Polygon deposit address. Your Polymarket account itself and HiveTrade's signing wallet cannot be the destination.
  5. Click Withdraw, then review the amount and destination in your wallet's signature request and approve it. Reject the request if either differs from what you entered.

You receive USDC.e on Polygon at the address you chose. You only sign the withdrawal: you don't need POL, Polygon's network token, to send it. While the withdrawal settles, the form shows it as pending with a link to the transaction; once it confirms, your balance updates. If the form says it could not confirm the withdrawal, check your balance before you try again.

If the button reads Verify wallet to withdraw, click it and sign in so your wallet can sign the withdrawal. The withdrawal form opens when you finish.

Check the network and the address

Send only to an address that accepts USDC.e on Polygon. Funds sent to the wrong network or to a mistyped address may not be recoverable.

Available vs reserved

Money set aside for your Polymarket Hive budgets is reserved and cannot be withdrawn. That covers the unspent part of every budget that is active or paused, plus any orders still being placed. Pausing a budget keeps its money reserved.

To free reserved money, go to Portfolio → Budgets and click Manage on the Hive, then Edit to lower its budget or Leave Hive to stop backing it; the unused budget is released at once. If you run a Hive, your Captain budgets (a bot's included) reserve cash too. They appear in the same list, marked Captain: choose Edit budget to lower a Total budget and release its unused cash. You can also change it in Hive HQ → Settings. If you enter more than is available, the form says how much is reserved for Hive budgets. Money in open positions returns to your account when the position is sold or the market settles.

Signing-wallet funds

Some accounts also hold funds in HiveTrade's signing wallet, shown separately on the Polymarket account card. Those funds are yours, and the card's own Withdraw button sends them to an address you choose. Its form shows whether the network fee is covered or paid in POL from the signing wallet.

Your past withdrawal addresses

The Security & custody section of Portfolio → Budgets lists your withdrawal addresses: every address a withdrawal you signed has gone to. Use it to spot an address you do not recognize.

Kalshi Hives

Your money stays in your own Kalshi account. The API key you connected to HiveTrade can place orders and move cash between your own Kalshi balances to fund a copy, but it cannot withdraw. To withdraw, use Kalshi directly, in Kalshi's app or website, exactly as you would without HiveTrade.

Withdrawing from Kalshi does not change the budget HiveTrade tracks for your Hive, but a copy needs enough cash in your Kalshi account to cover its order. If there is not enough, that copy is not placed. To stop copies, reduce your budget or stop backing the Hive in HiveTrade.

Confirm it's you

Withdrawing asks for a recent sign-in. If you have not signed in on this device in the last 24 hours, HiveTrade asks you to Confirm it's you: choose Sign in again and use the same sign-in method as your account. Your withdrawal opens once the sign-in completes. Restoring a session in the background does not count as a fresh sign-in.

The same check applies to exporting your signing key and deleting your account. Viewing your portfolio never asks. See Account & privacy.

After closing your account

A deleted account can still sign in to recover funds: the web keeps the withdrawal open for any money left in your Polymarket account. Money in a connected Kalshi account stays at Kalshi, where you can withdraw it before or after deleting. See Delete your account.
