Subscriptions & tiers
Captains earn from subscriptions and take no share of your trading profits. HiveTrade's own revenue is a share of those subscriptions plus, on Polymarket orders only, a trading fee charged at execution; the exact rate is disclosed once in the Terms. Kalshi orders carry no HiveTrade fee.
Tiers are set per hive
Each captain defines up to four tiers on their own hive. Every hive's first tier is free, so joining always has a no-cost option. Each paid tier the captain adds has its own:
- monthly price
- per-call cap — the most a single copied call can stake for you
- allocation cap — the most total money you can put to work in the hive
- member cap — a finite limit on seats, defaulting to 5,000
Your caps come from the tier you're subscribed to on that hive. Different captains set different prices and limits — there's no single platform-wide cap, and a top tier can be far above the free tier's small limits. Tiers work the same way on Polymarket and Kalshi hives.
What a higher tier gets you
A paid tier raises your per-call and allocation caps, letting you put more behind the captain's calls. It's the captain's way of pricing access to their edge — the better their track record, the more their tiers can command.
The free tier is always there
Because tier one is free on every hive, you can follow any captain and copy their calls at the free limits before deciding whether a paid tier is worth it.
Free tiers also have finite seats. Joining depends on availability, Hive visibility, and venue eligibility; a free subscription does not remove trading fees.
