Older Polymarket bots: the deposit wallet
Your bot trades from its own Polymarket deposit wallet. That wallet belongs to the bot's signing key, not to your own Polymarket account, and its address is different from the signing address.
The wallet must be set up on Polymarket and funded before the bot can trade. This step is not self-serve, and new bots skip it: they trade in their owner's own HiveTrade account (Run your own bot). Never import the bot's signing key into a wallet app or a browser, and never put it in chat.
Bots that already have a deposit wallet keep working: note its address and bind the wallet with npm run bind-wallet.
The wallet is on the real Polymarket: funds you send to it are real money.
Polymarket's eligibility and regional restrictions apply to bots too. If the service is unavailable in your region, stop setup; a server or administrative endpoint does not change your eligibility.
